Very disappointed, we came with my husband on a Wednesday evening. The waitress set up a table for us, but she didn't put a new table cloth, it was stained and durty. The food was extremely salty. We ordered spinage soup took few spoons and left it untouched. The main course, we had shrimps and pasta, the plate came with... More

I visited Montreal last month and discovered this Fabulous authentic Italian restaurant. The food was delicious with very generous portion sizes. It appeared to be a family run restaurant, and had good family values. I enjoyed the food so much that despite the wide choices of restaurants in Montreal I ate there again. There was a section outside to eat,... More

This is a a great little Italian restaurant without any pretensions. The menu is small but the food is excellent. We sat outside on a mild night and drank our bottle of Prosecco without any troubles. The staff are friendly and obliging and treated our small person as an important member of our party. My daughter and I both had... More

We arrived in Montreal well behind schedule and after checking in to our B&B at about 20:30, went looking for a nearby restaurant. Amarone was recommended by our innkeeper and was close by - about 100 metres away. We were seated outside which was our preference but service was decidedly slow in taking our order for drinks and later on,... More

We sat on the outdoor patio during a rain storm and had a really good Italian meal. The lasagna was excellent and I would highly recommend it. The patio could use some sprucing up to make it more appealing, such as flower boxes and an upgrade on the patio furnishings but overall a good experience so its just a suggestion.

Wonderful restaurant. Had the feel of so many neighborhood Italian restaurants - but with food much better than most. Staff is a hoot. Genuine, efficient, and reminded me of every Italian aunt I have. Just a great place

Our dinner experience was made so much more enjoyable by the wonderful Nancy who was funny, interesting and a great story teller! Good location, nice atmosphere, very good menu with good pricing. I had the manicotti and my husband had the veal. Both we delicious and perfect portions.

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
