We ordered pasta dishes from La Popessa to be delivered to our hotel. The order came pretty quickly. Great, but they forgot our soda. My wife chased the delivery man down the hall. He said he forgot the diet soda, but had a ginger ale in his car. It was hot, not just warm. He said it had been in... More

They prepare your pasta right in front of you and is quite good. I have the lobster sauce which was very good. Nice location close to the old city.

We walked in as a large group and were served quickly with a smile. Each plate made to order fresh, and suggestions or questions were welcomed. The pasta was so good we went back the next day. Pizza was made fresh as well. Kids loved it, and I though the friendliness of the staff was wonderful considering we walked in... More

We happened upon this quite accidentally, but we're not disappointed. Great concept, and well executed. If you love pasta, you can create just about anything you like here in a matter of minutes. Staff was very friendly and outgoing, atmosphere was homey and charming. Food was very good. We walked away stuffed,, went back second night for take out!

Nice location near Old Port, has variety of pasta sauces and assorted dishes. More of a fast food motif, but does the job when hungry.

Pasta bar, you choose your type of Pasta and the sauce or accompanying ingredients, well cooked right in front of you, served hot and to your liking, I love going there at least once a month.

Nice place without waiters - they cook that you ask in front of you in a few minutes while you are waiting in the line. Much more tasty than a few over places around I tried.

You combine the sauce and type of noodle. The chef cook your pasta in front of you, with pre measured and packed ingredients. Very fresh food, but they can attend two orders at the time. We were four and we had to wait @ 10 minutes between the first two and second group. This logistic works for couples but not... More

You select what type of pasta and type of sauce you want, and it gets heated up and mixed together right in front of you. The spaghetti was okay, but there was lots of it at a very reasonable price. My wife liked the cream of broccoli soup and the house salads were good. If you are looking for a... More

This restaurant was a recommendation from our hotel since it was close by. It's a fast food sort of place where you choose your pasta and your sauce. By the time we arrived, we were starving! Unfortunately, our dinner was just ok. My husband ordered the bolognese sauce, I ordered the cacciatore and my boys shared the lobster sauce. He... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
