One of my favorite go-to Mexican restaurant in the City. It's more authentic and good value than the touristy places. Good guacamole and nachos, sopa de tortillas (yummi) and enchilada with mole. They have a license for alcohol and nice banquettes. It gets crowded fast, reservations are a good idea.

We went to this restaurant for lunch and the menu selections are really interesting. There areso much authentic things on the menu, it's very hard to make a decision, but thanks to the owner who helps during that process... Very nice touch when he brings samples of the other choices at the table... for our next visit. We had the... More

My wife and I visited this local mexican restaurant a while back. We had a sampling of the dishes and margarita. Well, food is average. The margarita did not seem to have alcool in it. We were well treated and served. The really positive side is the price of only $45 for 2 plates with margarita and beer. So, very... More

Small restaurant in a "off the beaten path" location. We had a sampler plate to start and followed with fish tacos. The best was the sampler plate and the salsa. I found the Tacos to be a little dry. Will go back if I am in the area, but won't make a detour to go

This is the best Mexican food I ever had. The tacos, quessadilla, salsa and guacamole were excellent. I will go back for sure.

This establishment being located in our neighbourhood, we went last Saturday evening for a mexican dinner, hoping to have a special experience. Let's share some impressions. First, the restaurant is now located across the street, so the address shown here is not the right one (is it 2474 Jean-Talon); and good news for those who went previously, it is no... More

Disappointed with almost everything, I was expecting more commercial feel to it like chipotle Mexican or Carlos and Pepe's

I know this place is very very popular within the mexican community. We were not really impressed with the food nor the service, but it might have been an off day.. I think it was a monday actually. Back in july.

I come here often and I'm always satisfied with my visit. It's a small restaurant and most of the booths are reserved if you go without calling ahead. We are always greeted with a smile and the staff is very friendly. I usually get the sopa de tortilla which is delicious and has just the right amount of spiciness. The... More

Staying in Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension

Neighbourhood Profile
Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension
The most ethnically diverse of all of Montreal's neighbourhoods, Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension (or, Parc-Ex) stands at the city's centre, a hub for rail and metro traffic. Starting at the old station where the Canadian Pacific used to disembark, the brick-and-mortar surroundings of Parc-Ex have a homey feel, with leafy lawns and bicycle lanes seamlessly incorporated into the landscape. With prominent Greek and Spanish communities, Greektown includes the tastiest stops for brochettes and shawarma, and local bars entertain an excitable soccer fanbase. Jerry Park and Stade Uniprix stand ready for sports diehards to enjoy a game, while the the Complexe Environnemental Saint-Michel and Le Taz skate parks invite athletes to train and compete. Though built for the active and best by day, Cirque du Soleil, the TOHU center for arts, and the Le Boulevard shopping centre offer diversions for those who wish to stay late.
