This atmospheric little wine bar on Ave du Parc, just up from Rue Sherbrooke was recommended by those-in-the-know as THE hip and happening wine bar in Downtown Montreal. Not sure about that, but it did not disappoint. The bar is easy to miss…. look for the single black door and a chandelier of wine glasses, only noticeable in the dark!... More

Well , just to help those who accompany their friends to a wine bar .. but can't drink wine: As has been noted , this place has great ambiance and a warm and knowledgeable staff. The tapas offerings are very unique, each with wonderful flavors and textures. I ordered a Coke and it was from a can and ice cold.... More

Very nice selection of wines, love the "trios" that they offer which change quite frequently (3 wines to discover with a theme, 2 oz glasses, usually around 25-30$). Would recommend for wine lovers

Three of us wanted good wine and small plates, without having to dress up. The Pullman was perfect -- great selection and fantastic food. We shared the charcuterie plate, arancini, a mushroom and egg dish ... and on it went, each plate delicious. We ended with cheese and port. The atmosphere was terrific -- definitely would go back.

My fiancé and I stopped in for a quick glass of wine last night. I was unsure of what I would like so the bartender with a huge smile on his face asked what I had a taste for and he quickly found me a glass of white wine to fit my taste. The red wine my fiancé had was... More

Stopped in on a whim. Gabriel had us wait a minute, but got us a table upstairs. We noted that there were several open tables, but their logic seems to be "too many people, not good service". What a good idea. Joannie was fantastic. So is the food, the wines and the ambiance. Thanks for a great night. Joannie was... More

This wine bar is one of the best place in Montreal, to meet friends or having a date with your boyfriend. You can eat Tapas and drink so many different wine from anywhere in the world. I love their Trio de bulles :-)

Have visited here many time and generally the place is rocking full and the good and wine pairing excellent. This visit was not as good. Good selection menu is getting a little tired, portion size was reduced and the quality of the food was not up to par. Staff has changed, but while attentive, it is not as personal and... More

After all these years of hearing about this place, I finally went in, on the spur of the moment. I entered the place, 5pm on a Sunday. It was rather quiet, but the design of this place, all of a sudden we're somewhere else, in Paris maybe, or New York and the tavern feel, we're back in the past. Sitting... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
