Our hotel made our reservations and we had an amazing table by a window overlooking a beautiful cobblestone avenue. Our waiter was new and very focused on getting things right so there was not a lot of interaction there though we enjoyed hearing the next...More

We ate here with a small tour group (24 people) so we were seated in a separate room that didn't have much of an atmosphere (the rest of the restaurant looked lovely). However the good service and food and our congenial tour group made up...More

So this is a classic French restaurant in the old port. Nice decoration and courteous service. The foods are decent. Not exceptional or innovative, but they meet your expectation. And the portions are big for such kind of a fine restaurant.

Dined here with friends Friday night. We all had the tasting menu. Wine pairing is not offered. The food is inconsistent with some of the dishes done quite well such as the rack of lamb and the duck breast. The Dover sole was a disappointment...More

Food was delicious. Great presentation. Outstanding service. My husband and I totally enjoyed the experience, dining with great atmosphere. We did the tasting menue. The grand mariner soufflé for dessert was the nicest soufflé ever. The price was very reasonable and the servings were fine...More

The Bonaparte is a very good, somewhat formal French restaurant. It serves classic cuisine at the expected price (entrées at 35-50 $Can) The fish dishes are top-notch, as is the maple-flavored duck. Desserts include several soufflés. The decor includes artwork, candles, chandeliers - very romantic....More

Sorry for the delay - we stayed at Hotel Bonaventure, about an $11 taxi ride to Bonaparte. Large hotel, rooms need to be updated, but are a good size, only stayed 2 nights. Parking $25/nt

There is not an imposed dress code, but everybody is dressed as smart casual elegant for men and elegant for women. The restaurant is of a level and league that "noblesse oblige" Enjoy the evening
