Place has been open for ten years. Its modern style has stayed fresh ever since it opened. Modern yet conservative its decor and vibe is awesome. More on the older crowd they have massive scotch selections and offer tastings. Its by no means a cheap place for drinks, even beer but its dark lighting with gold or copper chandeliers white... Visited here in Jan 2017. Great bar with perfect staff - helpful but not invasive. Strong cocktails. Beautiful interior. A must see in Montreal.

What make this place great? Easy to find parking, comfortable cigar lounge, great whisky selection. The whole setting is warm and very comfortable, it gets dark in the evening, adding to the mood setting. You won't find a full menu for food here, but you will get a pretty complete cigar menu. If you bring your own they charge a... More

Place has an amazing ambiance. Nice selection of cigars but poor service, the waiter came and see us once and left us alone for quite a while meanwhile we wanted to order a few more drinks. We had to go get him a couple of times to come see us not to mention the cigar lounge wasn't that busy.

We enjoyed a late afternoon visit, pre jays game. Comfortable. Great service (cigar with a bad draw was replaced). Good ventilation. I'd go back when in Montreal

Good ambiance, great service and nice music, but a bit overrated... A good place to stay with your friends or for a romantic evening. The waiters know their job well and they really take care of every guest. It's ok, but is one of the bars you can quickly forget about.

Great dark modern-European style cafe .... But scotch ! Have monthly tasting trio sample tastings (approximately 35$) Then have about 150 different scotch you can order by the dram. Other trios from 21-120 something for everyone taste. If u don't like scotch they have other cocktails ... Nice place to spend talking with friends

I would not consider this place, romantic, especially as I was with my wife and there was a large Bach Party sitting next to us in the cigar room. (it was a Sunday) The cigars were over priced almost 3x, however, I was on vacation so I didn't care. Overall, the place does have a cool vibe and it is... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
