Took 7 friends for a goodbye dinner which was incredible. The staff were friendly and helpful and the meals were awesome. The seafood was to die for and the desserts were heavenly. I suggest you go if ever in Montreal

It was a while ago since I visited the restaurant but it really was a great experience. I loved the idea of walking in past the selection of meats and seeing how they are cured etc. heading upstairs to our table was great and the manner in which the waiters serve you is so authentic and old school. Obviously it's... More

Such a fun night out with friends. Service is impeccable. Food is GOOD but I come for the atmosphere. They play upbeat music and the place is loud and packed! Wine prices are a little over the top. 400$ for a bottle we get at LCBO for 150$. Oh well, only in Montreal once a year.

QDC is a montreal landmark steak house. People who know and who come dine here expect the very best of everything: food, service, quality, wine pairings, decor/ambiance. Let's face it, if you come here you are not gonna mind shelling out 200$ per person. You actually expect it. Over the years and after acquiring this landmark status over the years,... More

This is not my first time eating at Queue Cheval and will definitely not be my last. I decided to write this review because we booked a meal at another Restraurant that our customer preferred. When we arrived our booking was missing and they could not accommodate our group. I called Queue Cheval and they were booked but managed a... More

When I pay prices like these for food I need to see more than a good sales pitch from the wait staff. The service is truly exceptional. The food was pitched well but the actual product was nothing extraordinary. Just a good steak. The sides were very expensive and once again nothing extraordinary!

No trip to Montreal is complete until you have basked in the glory of this steakhouse. I love the atmosphere. The waiters are great and entertaining as they serve you and help you enhance your experience. There are usually some treats as surprises for wine or food to enhance the experience.

I went for dinner to la queue de cheval with a business colleague, and have to say we were very disappointed with the overall experience especially given the high price tag ($200 per person with a modest bottle of wine). The staff was obviously pushing to up sell, the food was good but not outstanding, and the whole place did... More

I was with a large group. We enjoyed our meal and the service, but everyone was shocked at the cost. We all felt that they ran the tab up on us. We meet 3 times a year as a group all over Canada and the US. We spend lots of money on our group dinners. This is the first time... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
