This is a solid steak house, with better-then-average service (at least in mid-afternoon when we went, the waitress was highly attentive and focused), adequate salads and alternatives to steak, and first-rate ribs. The lobster poutine was for this non-Canadian unique, and tasty in a put-on-the-pounds-while-enjoying-yourself kind of way, if, of course, very, very, very heavy. (He ain't heavy, he's my... More

If you don't like surprises, you are not an adventurer, you are not into complicated, sophisticated and ridiculously presented menus; this steakhouse/bar is for you. It is like McDonald's, you get to eat the same stuff, drink the same mixtures, always consistent no surprises which is good if you are with your parents (my father's sense of humor wasn't easy... Went on a friday night, very busy, ribs were great, I think its a chain restaurant, lacked personalized service. atmosphere was good though. I would return if back in Montreal, maybe on a less busy night.

I ordered the ribs and shrimp and I ate the ribs but did not like the taste of the shrimps with the bbq sauce, the ribs were ok but on some parts they were burned so I couldnt eat that part, good environment and service but I did not fund this particular dish to be of my entire liking.

We ate here last week, and were surprise. I have eaten at other Baton Rouge restaurants and they have been average. I order the fillet mignon, while my wife had the lobster risotto. Both meals were excellent, the appetizers (Caesar salad) and deserts (creme brulee) were also great. Total bill was $141 including tip, which I guess is average.

Like all the other big chain restaurants in front of the Place des Arts, I find that they sacrifice the quality of the food and service because they know their location will make it so their tables are always full. We had reserved for a group at this restaurant on a Saturday. Now, I know it is a busy restaurant... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
