I mean if your searching for a nice place to eat and enjoy with your friends it is great, drinks are delicious and big and food is ok, ambiance is a lot of fun, wouldn't suggest it for a romantic night or for business meeting but get together with friends, this place could work for sure! But if you looking... More

On a warm Sunday evening my husband and I chose this restaurant because of the funky and inviting atmospher. We arrived at 7:30. The waitress took our drinks and food order at 8PM. Drinks arrived at 8:30, beer was warm, the Margarita not great. Food arrived at 8:45. We ordered guacamole (that we wanted with our drinks but it came... More

This place is perfect for a group of friends looking to have a fun evening in Montreal! We went there with a group of about 10 and we got seated at what i call the "bathtub table" (see photo). The restaurant has been open for more than 20 years but has recently been renovated I've been told. The staff are... More

We just stumbled upon this place and were so pleasantly surprised by the feel of the place and the warmest welcome. Great margaritas and a lot of choices on the menu. We'll definitely be back!

After a few years of walking by this restaurant we finally decided to try it. The place is nice, good ambiance and music. The staff is friendly, the drinks are good and the tacos and nachos are great. The plates are HUGE! I found it was a bit pricey for what you get, though. We'll definitely go there again.

I went to dinner with a friend here since she had heard good things about it from other friends. The funky decor and relaxed atmosphere seemed pretty promising when passing by on the outside. The storefront opening on to the street on a nice day made for an inviting atmosphere. However, the service was slow and the Mexican guitar player... More

Not your typical cheesy Mexican (TexMex) joint. Full of character, visually fun with a great atmosphere. The Ceviche was amazing with Salmon, scallops and shrimp. I had a sort of Coquille St-Jaques which was amazing. There was live music and it turns out to being the same guy since the last time I came...about 8 years ago! I'm still here,... More

We bought a deal coupon dinner for 2. Haven't been to this place in many, many years. The decor and atmosphere is not for everyone. This is more of a laid back place with music and a Mexican decor. More of a young party place that a romantic restaurant. Anyways, the food was great, portions were reasonable. Service could have... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
