Went to Mezcla for the second time and I must say WOOOOOWWWW!! The first time we visit was 3 years ago and we didn't like it at all, we left the place very disappointed without understanding all the "fuzz" that some people made about the place, yes, the service was impecable but the food, total disaster. Any way time passed... More

It is officially my favorite restaurant in Montreal for the yer 2016! I had 9 service Dinner that included gourmet delicious food. It is not just the food, it is a piece of art!!! Beautiful presentation! The taste and variety are amazing. They gave us small portions, but when you have 9 services meal, you feel full at the end.... More

Experienced Mezcla with their 6 course tasting menu. The intro is perfect, warm and professional. Very nice cocktails. Service is near perfect with frequent visits to the table for water, food service and information. My favorite courses were the bbq style duck, giant shrimp and an amazing desert. All the plates are big enough with a beautiful fine dining presentation... More

Creative food and a beautiful restaurant. Right in our neighbourhood in the Village - a restaurant with impeccable service, wonderful atmosphere and truly interesting, flavourful and well-presented food. One of our favourite finds this year and we plan to bring friends and family when we return (soon!) Menu de degustation is a sure bet and a great value. To the... More

Again as I always said, check the date of review because with time there can be lot of changes including the chef , the food and the service, I bought a promotion coupon for a tasting menu and decided to give a try for this unknown South America with some touch of Asian fusion restaurant after checking some reviews and... I went to this restaurant for a business lunch. It was strongly recommended by my colleague, and she was right. The room was clean, and service was excellent. There is no loud music, so you can hear each other well. Tables are spacious. Food was delicious. For lunch, I had the table d'hôte which included, for 16 $, a soup... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and we're glad they did! Service was almost overly attentive but really nice, food gourmet both in taste and presentation and venue upbeat and modern. Checking the kitchens(I own restaurants) I found clean, very organized and efficient chefs putting out the plates beautifully and quickly. There is nothing to fault this place about. 5 star... More

We had been advised by several people that the venue was well worth a visit, great food in a cool setting....so we made the booking and arrived to a rapidly filling dining room. The menu is a la carte with two tasting menu options, a four course or six course. We were debating which tasting menu to choose when our... More

The night we went, they had a special 9-course tasting menu for the price of the 4-course tasting menu and it was special indeed. I have a couple food allergies, and even though the menu suggests that if you have allergies to choose a la carte, they were able to accommodate them in the tasting menu (so it doesn't hurt... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
