Had a very tasty "Wise Guy" panini sandwich--prosciutto, salami, peppers, goat cheese. Nicely balanced. My daughter had a chicken tarragon sandwich, which she liked. You order on the main flour and they deliver it to you upstairs. Will go back next time I'm in town.

This is one of those places that you might walk past and take no notice, then someone will give you a recommendation and you'll give it a try to come back as 'your' spot when in town. I'd recommend the mustard and honey glazed steak wrap. I want one now.

The sandwich was kind of expensive 12$. The portion was very small. I feel really unsatisfied. Might as well have gone to subway or even presse café. Tried the pizza and the sandwhich the pizza was ok but I will not go back.

I happen' upon this coffee shop after a long walk downtown, The plan was to have coffee on the terrace, rest a bit and chat. We ended up getting sandwiches, which were amazing, with good quality, fresh ingredients and made on the spot. I had the best Philly steak sandwich ever, with perfectly caramelized onions, lots of cheese and tender... More

We stopped in for a morning coffee and croissant before a day of shopping. The coffee was fresh, the croissant delicious and the yogurt and fruit cup were also filling and tasty. Friendly staff and a nice sidewalk deck on which to eat.

We used to go regularly to A&J when we lived in Montreal, and made a stop there again on a Thursday evening during a business trip. Their pizzas & sandwiches continue to be among the best in the area, and they have a good amount of seating both upstairs & out on the terrasse. It was easy to park our... More

This is the one place I dont get tired of going to. Their sandwiches and pizza are simply delicious and well priced. I go there whenever I'm feeling a little hungry in downtown. It's clean and the staff is friendly. It has two-storeys. You make your order on the main floor, they give you a number, you go sit upstairs... More

This is a really great place, the pizzas are awesome, the hot meals (grilled chicken, vegetables and rice) are cheap and well balanced, the soups, the muffins and the salads are all impeccables. Nothing too fancy but nothing shabby neither.

We often go here for coffee and dessert (carrot cake muffins are delish). Pizzas are great too. Service always friendly. Very convenient.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
