Just one visit. Not bad but not good either, somehow the food had no taste. Very nice service though, the lady was always wearing a smile to us

For those looking for real coffee, this is the place to go. They do have a variety of food choices on the menu but this is my go t place for a really delicious cup of coffee and for a great selection of coffee beans. They have a beautiful outdoor terrasse which is open during the warmer season.

The café is a nice place to have breakfast and offers a lot of seating inside as well as on the terrace. The food was good and the service very friendly. We had the oatmeal and omelette which both can be recommended.

I had bought a Vie Urbaine coupon for $15 with a retail value of $30.00 which could only be used on week-ends. We arrived on a Sunday at about 11:30 am and there were only a few tables left. Our waitress, Marie-Claude came by quickly and wanted to take our orders. I ordered a regular coffee while my wife opted... More

Went here on Wednesday for brunch with mom. She had the classic two eggs, bacon and toast. i had the eggs Benedict. Also, they are a coffee shop, and have great coffee. You can even buy coffee to go. Service was very good and tasty food.

Well I'll start by saying the coffee is one of the best in Montreal. But the cakes have always been a bit hit and miss but the last 5 times I've been here they've all been misses due to a lack of freshness, too dry or missing flavour. Also the last time I was there we had an unintentional frozen... More

After often seeing line ups we decided to go for breakfast yesterday. What a disappointment. My wife's crepe with apples and cheese was very ordinary. The cheese was tasteless and rubbery and the apples were hard and tasteless. My French toast was cold. When we complained the manager told us he tried the toast when it came back to the... More

We wanted some eclectic coffees for our friends. We did not expect to have to chose from 40, all which were clearly on the obscure side of coffee. Yes, these 40 may be 'normal' for some, but for our 6 friends, it was like being locked in a chocolate store when you are a chocoholic. Well, we were not saddened... More

Staying in Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)
Once the core of industrialised Montreal, the factories and historic buildings of Le Sud-Ouest have been renovated into homes, museums, and small businesses. The rejuvenated landscape has put its Saint-Henri district in vogue, with cutting-edge galleries and an ever-expanding network of restaurants. Foodies can especially delight in the mom-and-pop shops in Little Burgundy, or at the Atwater Market, where outdoor stalls sell fresh fruit, vegetables, and meat, street vendors have menus of hot fish and wine, and the indoor market offers chocolate, breads, and coffee beans. Dominated by the gentle waters of the Lachine Canal, Le Sud-Ouest is still very much an outdoor town, with a number of pedestrian-only bridges traversing the waters, bike paths along the canal with views of the Leisure Boats, and massive green spaces like Angrignon Park to stop for a picnic, or to play a sport.
