We really enjoyed the dumpling offerings of this little place on Boul Saint Laurent. So much so, we went back! Wide menu choices, the food is tasty, service is good and fast. There is an ATM there in case you don't have cash. Recommended.

The tea served is absolutely flavorless and, sometimes, it would be nice to be asked if you want some more. As far as the dumplings are concerned, they were ok, both the steamed ones with pork and crevettes, and the fried ones with beef, onion and curry, but really nothing special. The taste is particularly light and I am not... More

My friends came here for lunch after some sightseeing, and it was super-close to our hotel. The place was quite busy when we arrived, but we managed to get seating. The service was good, and fairly fast. We ordered a plate of boiled dumplings and two plates of fried dumplings. SO flavourful - especially the curry beef ones! Our sides... More

Been here twice and both times the dumplings were excellent. I love that the dumplings are made to order and you can actually see them being put together. My preference are fried over steamed. I like them a little crispy on the outside. This place is super crowded which is a good sign that this is a great place to... More

Great quality dumplings with a healthy variety to choose from. The quality and authenticity of the food is on par with the food I ate in Asia.

Great little dumpling shop in Montreal's Chinatown located on the main strip on St. Laurent Street, south of Rene Levesque. We were delighted with our choices, cold braised celery and peanut salad and two types of dumplings 1) pork/coriander/shrimp dumplings served streamed and 2) beef curry dumplings served fried - at the recommendation of our charming waitress. This meal set... More

This place is very casual and is quite boring in appearance. The service was quick while we were there but there were no napkins. The dumplings came out just warm and quite bland. We never got our water refilled either.

The food was incredible, the portions were big and the dumplings were too notch. But our waiter completely ignored us for most of the meal. We tried to get her attention just to get more water and we got that water at the end of he meal. We had to wait 20 minutes for a check after we finished.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Bakeries, markets, restaurants, and buffets crowd the brightly graffitied streets of Chinatown, the city's aromatic destination for pan-Asian cuisine. Distinguished at its entry points by towering vermillion paifang gates, the compact neighbourhood acts as a focal point for the Chinese community, hectic with educational facilities, cultural centres, acupuncturists, and foreign-language newspapers. Especially vibrant in the warmer months, when the sweet smell of dragon beard candy along the pedestrian walks of Rue de la Gauchetière signal the beginning of the outdoor street fair season, Chinatown is a treasure hunter's dream, with enough knickknack and curiosity shops to tempt even the pickiest shoppers. The convivial vibe picks up after dark, when the area's active nightlife offers evening crowds their choice of drink, dance, and midnight snacks of pho or oysters. Chinatown's mix of new and old, with herbal remedies being sold alongside pop-culture DVDs, gives the area its own animated brand of moxie.
