We were given the worst table in the place, right by the window and we were all frozen for the entire meal. Had to keep our winter coats on. Being that Montreal is in a deep freeze, and they knew our table was “ the...More

We had an excellent meal at Porto Mar. the Portuguese soup was very good and the bread was excellent. We both had the cod dinner, which had a generous portion cooked just right. The service was good. The wine list was all Portuguese.

Excellent experience after a major disappointment in the old city. Great seafood, quite atmosphere and good service. Probably the best food we got during our 16 day Canada trip.

Porto Mar has great service and an excellent menu. Unfortunately construction in front of the restaurant has closed off that road but it is easily accessed from Rue Saint Paul Ouest. Highly recommend this for those who love seafood and especially Portuguese cooking.

We went not really knowing what to expect. We were very pleased with the atmosphere, service, and especially the quality of the food. The clams with pork was superb with great flavors. Others in our party had the cod--wonderful--and salmon, which was cooked to perfection...More

Lovely restaurant in Old Montreal. A little off the main rue St Paul, but worth it for good quality food and service.
