After a VERY long day of walking we dined on the patio of this fantastic Irish pub. Fantastic food, wonderful service, excellent ambience and prices were very reasonable. Will definitely go there again next time I visit Montreal!!

Big place, with typical Irish pub decor, but lots of nooks if you want some privacy to catch the game on the numerous big screens with sound. Excellent service, big selection of beer, and our salad and corned beef was very good indeed.....the fish and chips, not as much. Not sure of the logic, beyond the great location and ambiance,... Very unfortunate that our whole St.Patrick's Day experience was tarnished by a particularly abusive mini-doorman and the unofficial cover charge of $20 each to get in. People were kept waiting in line for hours while the doorman extorted money from the desperate.

My boyfriend asked me to find a pub. So we decided to go to "Irish embassy pub and grill". He had wings with 2 pint S of beer and I had fish and chips with 2 pints of sangria. It was delicious! Ambiance was great and our waitress (Mary) was very friendly and very helpful! Would go there again for... More

We had an amazing waitress. Very personable, and very quick. Good happy hour prices, the house wine was great. Had the pulled pork poutine and sausage platter, recommend them both!

I went with my two sons and daughter-in law before a recent Habs game. The beer was good, the staff was friendly and the food was great. They also offer $5 indoor parking which was much appreciated on this snowy Montreal night.

Love hitting this spot with old friends whenever I visit my hometown. Decent variety of beer and good value. Fun spot in downtown MTL.

Doug was very friendly, even through the holiday rush and took time to tell me about the local places of interest. Good food with daily specials. Great Pub Grub if you want some of the best chicken wings in town. Mostly English spoken and a whole lot of locals along with some Americans. Very classic atmosphere and good bar. Should... More

Watched Thanksgiving football and had a late lunch with my lady. Though we don't live up here, the regulars and all the employees here, Doug , make you feel at home! The Embassy smoked meat sandwich gets my thumbs up!

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
