La Khaima provided us with a DELICIOUS vegetarian rice dish and hibiscus drink. Absolutely wonderful. They were kind and generous in sponsoring our event. We would love to work with them again. Regards, Borderless World Volunteers

We went there for Montreal a Table brunch. It was a set menu of $15, which they offer a meze of sweet potato hummus+eggplant babagenoush, and then a huge platter of rice, with stewed lamb on one half and chick pea and veggies on the other half on top of the rice, with roasted squash and potatoes around the edges.... We arrived late, our table was still avaible, thanks ! We choose the daily menu : lentil soup, a sort of babaghanush with pita, the huge plate (beef balls, vegetarian vegies, olive chicken, all served on couscous) and the desert was a piece of cake with an amazing homemade mint tea. Great experience, good service, food was very delicious and... More

We were wanted to eat couscous and came here on an early Friday nite. We had hummus, with pita bread strips, tomato soup, and then a huge platter of beef, chicken, and vegetarian couscous. Ended with small desert and traditional poured tea. Totally yummy and not expensive!! There gave us so much food, we brought some home. Service was good.... More

I went here for a friends birthday with 12 people. The owner suggested the fixed menu at $25 since we were a large group. He literally brought out 4 dishes, which were the size for about 4 people and we shared it between the 12 of us. What a rip off. The service was awful and the one common element... More

was not too impressed with this place. Funny, as how reviews were good for this place. Place is exotic looking. We were a large group so the server suggested the table d'hote 25$. A lentil soup that needed salt, main plates vegetarian, lamb , chicken all served with couscous. Lamb dish was the only good one. Dessert served for a... More

Really great food and friendly staff! They have a set 'daily menu' and it's 25 dollars a head for dinner. The atmosphere is awesome with tapestries hanging from the ceiling and low tables, although they also have a more standard dining area. Make sure you show up hungry, we wound up taking a lot home!

I loved the place, the food was very very good but what I liked more is that it is really a Family oriented restaurant. They don't care if you take your kids to the restaurant. They are very friendly with them. The owner and his wife are excellent people. They make you feel home.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
