Visited in early April on a Saturday night. We reserved online in advance which you will want to do for the popular jazz dinner clubs in Montreal. Musicians were excellent. The place is quite small but has an interesting vibe. Seems to attract very good talent. Bar is in the centre so some tables do not have a good view... More

Very cozy little music joint with great performances but I don't recommend the food. It's tasteless and over priced.

Wonderful experience on Rue St. Denis up on the Plateau in Montreal. The band was fantastic and the beer is great value. A must do on every trip to Montreal if you love music!

So, yesterday i bought my babygirl a beautiful, little black dress in Montreal. We planned the whole day around two jazz shows in Montreal. The first, an early set, took place at another club. We had dinner reservations at a great restaurant in the Plateau, and would culminate the evening listening to JP Zannella, and his quartet at a little,... More

The bar was packed. There was a launch of a band. Great music for sure. Personnel was very pleasant and so is the owner. Beer tasted great. Didn't have food, but what I saw and smelled passing by, made my mouth water. 😀

I loved the fact that there is live music starting at 6PM. It's a perfect time to unwind, have drinks and listen to a great band. Cozy decor. Fabulous service. First time, not the last. If you love jazz, you need to checkout this place. Food was also great.

There is nothing fancy about this place. The food is decent. The decor is humble. But the music is always fantastic. It is a fantastic venue to enjoy a manhattan and listen to some great jazz. A different type of evening that you should definitely add to your Plateau go-to places.

Been to a few jazz places in Montreal, always feel like they exist for tourists. This one is different. The night we went the jazz was raw & energetic, and no one bothered to speak English. Service slow, but no matter - well worth a visit.

If you want to experience jazz up close and personal, look no further. The level of musicianship was incredible and our proximity to the stage, in this small venue, made it an extra special experience. The food was delicious with a responsive waitstaff. Ambience was very nice.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
