We got to sample the fries on the last day Karen was open. We got an order of regular potato -- PEI-grown, of course-- fries, and also an order of apple "chips". We thought both were exceptional, however, I personally, cannot eat too much deep fried food without feeling sick afterwards. If you want to sample only one, try the... More

Chips were crispy. Fish was lightly battered and tasty. Tarter sauce complemented fish perfectly. Poutine was also very good.

The city tour bus begins its tour right in front of the CHIP SHACK, we didn't give it much thought but were famished at the end of the tour, cold October morning and we head for it to recharge.WE were prepared to enjoy something street food, but we were in for a real surprise, The owner , a vivacious very... We twice ate here during our recent visit to P.E.I. and by far and away it has the best fish and chips in the city. Always a line up as so many others have heard of it and come to eat there following city tours or while out walking along the boardwalk in the harbour area.

Chips were greasy and lobster roll had no flavour. Lobster meat was chopped very small and poor texture. Lady that runs it has a great personality but food is not good.

The owner was so welcoming. We loved watching her prep everything by hand--including cutting and battering the fish and chips. Excellent poutine too!

This place does what it says on the tin! If its potato chips (fries) you want then this has to be the place.

The best chips (French fries) in Canada. Twice fried and well seasoned. Wonderful alone or perhaps with a lobster roll from Dave's Lobster next door.

It's been over a month since we returned from our Maritime seafood trip. Before leaving on our trip, I read up on The Chip Shack reviews and was excited to give it a try. It turned out to be the most disappointing meal of the trip. The lobster roll was made with bits, the lobster was so finely chopped there... More

If you are a fan if french fries, these are good as it gets. We did not go for the local cheese and gravy presentation. We just had fries with ketchup and they were great.
