Last visit to Swiss Chalet at the Dundas west location I was disappointed with food and service. Yesterday I was not feeling very good and we decided to order 1/3 side rib combo with dark meat, I wish I had taken a photo of the size of the chicken and 6 ribs which are always delicious. can't complaint about that.... Whenever I come to Toronto a stop at Swiss Chalet is a definite. The chicken is delicious, fries are great and the beer cold. A great stop!

The chicken parm and pasta is back and is SO filling and delicious! My brother had the new chicken with the hot sauce and spiced fries...what a nice change from the original!

We went to Swiss Chalet for supper. The service was great. Ordered a beer with my meal. The glass was so frosty. It was so refreshing. I can't say enough. All was so good

This restaurant should not be allowed to serve the public. This is the secound time and the last time I will order from this franchise. The ribs were burnt so bad we couldnt eat them. The bones wrere black! How the hell can you pass food like that on to a customer. It was a delivery order and I know... More

I'm pretty sure the waitress forgot about my family's and my food. She took our order and then left for a very long time before giving us our food. She also rarely came to our table to check on us to see how we like our food. I gave this Swiss chalet 4 dots because the food was amazing and... More

We go to the Swiss Chalet on Dufferin St. in North York fairly regularly although not for the last month. We had dinner there last night (Aug. 6) and were somewhat surprised and very disappointed. The food was its usual pretty good (I had a third of ribs and my partner had a third of ribs and 5 wings). Nothing... More

Come here from time to time at lunch, with office buddies. They prepare chicken- slow roasted in their own sauce, I love it. My favorite is the quarter chicken dinner, sometimes I opt for the white meat (breast) instead of the leg. You can have fries, salad or rice as a side dish. They also serve ribs, if that is... More

Staying in Scarborough

Neighbourhood Profile
Scarborough
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
