Having struggled to get a decent cup of tea in America or Canada it was a delight to find real Yorkshire Tea served at Le Gourmand, and at a very reasonable price. The chocolate chip and walnut cookies were a nice treat too!

I like the environment and I like the pastries but the staff at the front are so rude and disrespectful to the customers . One of them upon my ordering wanted to correct my grammar! She even stressed on the wrong word! I asked her if the pastry was from today, she didn't smile, annoyed, rolling her ayes and just... More

The panini sandwiches avocado & tomato, or pancetta and argula were delicious but on the small side for the price. The chocolate chip cookie was so decadent ! However the cashier and cook are grumpy so don't expect un service agreable from these two.

Yes,there are sandwiches, salads and other baking there but the best reason to visit Le Gourmand is for the warm, mega filled chocolate chip cookies. Pricy but worth the indulgence.

I often enjoy the coffee here, and the cakes are great. But the service is really poor. It's not acceptable to be shouted at for standing in the wrong place because we're looking at the menu - then to join a line and to then be shouted at that we can only be served by a particular cashier if paying... I'll admit that I haven't had much else on the menu, but that's only because their chocolate chip cookies are some of the best I've ever had. Just thinking about them makes me want to go buy some right now.

I have been getting coffee hear for a while and their coffee is the best I have had in the area. But today I tries the Curry Cauliflower and this soup was disappointingly average.

Stopped in here for abite to eat on our way to do some shopping on Queen West. Staff were very welcoming, food was delicious, and the environment was good. The breakfas burrito was delicious. Kids liked the chocolate croissants and hot chocolate

Love Le Gourmand, it's the perfect place to eat fresh and good quality meals. Working close to the place has given me the opportunity to try many dishes and to be honest, they've never disappointed me. Not only is the food and coffee great, but customer service is fantastic. I've had orders that have been incomplete or taken longer than... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
