I have been twice and I am looking forward to going back in March again. It's such a treat! The pre-set meal is always to die for. They bring you sharing plates and trust me they are big portions! I've had the wine pairing too. It's a real experience. Service is excellent aswell. Cool atmosphere too! Must go!

fabulous time at this special place. The décor is amazing-comfortable and inviting. The service made us feel special-great attention to detail by all servers.Tthe wine and cocktails were fabulous and the food was awesome. Ms.Crawford was there cooking and we had a seat close to the preparation table. The food was plentiful, different and tasted amazing. Can't wait to go... More

If you are going to spend $200 for two people with one glass of wine each, it better be above average. Well, this place less than average. The menu is very limited and there are very few choices - one fish, one meat, and one vegan main course. Throw is a salad, a small cheese plate and a boring dessert... More

We have been to Ruby Watch Co before and wanted to return to celebrate my husband's birthday :) Given the set menu format I would recommend you review the menu on their website the week prior and select your date ... or at minimum ensure the menu for your planned date is something you would enjoy. We had an outstanding... More

We went here with friends from out of town who "just had to try it". The menu is essentially picked for you, prixe fixe, with a few options. If you don't like what they are serving that night you either suck it up or come back another night. The wine list is small but with good options that aren't available... More

This was our fourth time visiting this restaurant and it has become a regular haunt when we want to hang out with friends while visiting Toronto. Our party of six was seated promptly and the food and drinks flowed from there. The portions are generous and the food is what I would call upscale comfort food. Very good wine pairings,... More

We were in this restaurant few years ago and since we like it, we wanted to come back again. Well , big mistake!!!!! Its like a different restaurant.... it was kale salad (no imagination), than we had steamed beets, steamed broccoli and meat covered in black gravy (my teenager can do a better job). The substitution was finished, apparently chef... More

This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Toronto. The food is second to none with a different menu everyday. Each of the wait staff is fantastic and they work together as a very efficient team

The food was the best I have had in a long time. The flavours and textures that were paired together - every dish was better than the last. One guest didn't eat fish which was the main that night but he was treated to a delicious steak. I can't wait to go back. It wasn't pricey for what you get... More

We had a number of friends and family members in town recently, and were looking to share with them one of our favorite experiences, dinner at Ruby. I'm always a bit hesitant to suggest a venue to a larger group. Often you will find that the service you received as a couple doesn't always translate well to a large group.... More

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
