As usual the baked goods are excellent, shame the service is so sullen and disinterested. Girls are more interested in talking to each other than being friendly or focusing on customers! I never want to sit down and eat/drink there as you feel as if you are intruding.

Ordered carrot cake and it was gluten-free. Made compliant that was not followed up. I wonder how the other party felt with the wrong cake. No call back from management. Been a regular customer for years. So upsetting that they did not take this matter serious. Will not be returning. They even have the nerve to call us for the... More

Not a place to visit if calories and carbs are a big concern. My advise is to forget all that and just go and enjoy. Try the bars if you just wanted a little taste or take home a cake for any special occasion. The cake itself will make any day a special occasion! !!

Part of Dufflet's philanthropic efforts includes the Tour de Dufflet, a fun day of cycling around Toronto. For $5, which is donated to different causes, you get a passport that entitles you to a beverage and a sweet or savoury at all 3 locations. Total distance is about 40km. The event happens during the whole month of June and has... More

Dufflet hits it out of the park every time, but the lemon tarts are the best. Fresh, perfect pastry, a little bit buttery, with just the right amount of tartness to make the sides of your tongue tingle. Also, she makes a gluten free carrot cake, that's probably better than the original, and makes the best birthday cake for someone... More

All of Dufflet's pastries are delicious, fresh, pure, and excellent! In particular, I love the lemon tarts and the chocolate fudge cake!

The lemon dacqoise cake is, without a doubt, the most decadent and delicious cake I have ever tasted. The lemon flavour is light and airy and the cake is made with almonds and meringue and it pretty much floats in your mouth and down your throat. You'll be in heaven way before your time!! A very close second is the... More

Dufflet is one of those iconic Toronto dessert companies where if you live in the city, you are bound to have occasions where their desserts are served or spotted in local grocery stores. Unfortunately, I don't care for their desserts at all. I've tried their cakes, tarts, and pies. They've all been disappointing. A lot of times, the cakes are... More

They make some of the best desserts ever. Nothing leaves you feeling heavy and everything seems to taste great!

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
