Thank god for silver spoon. Real deg biryani. The service sucks as it should at all South Asian restaurants (tradition). Grumpy, sullen faces and frequent errors. But the food is to die for. Beats all the cookie cutter Punjabi restaurant food. If you want real biryani, eat here.

These guys cater primarily to catering and large party events. They are a Hyderabadi background restaurant. One of my favourite places to go for a quick meal but especially somewhere I turn to for special events.

It's been about a year since I was last here (Pickering location) so I thought I would try it out again. I got the meat combo, so it was rice, butter chicken and tikka masala. I can't taste the difference in food because of all the spice. I love spicy food and can handle it but this is too spicy.... More

Staying in Scarborough

Neighbourhood Profile
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
