I've been here countless times before and I've never had a bad experience! Just make sure to be hunger when you come as there is a lot of meat coming your way! The flavors and seasonings are amazing and love all the meat here! Just make sure to get a plate of Chimichurri from he salad bar to go with... More

You are paying for a buffet meal with the addition of a continuous parade of different meat offerings. I felt that $140 for two (including two beers and coffee) was a bit excessive for an atmosphere of a large bar with loud pounding music. Our party of fourteen was even asked to leave to make way for other diners.

There is a good salad bar to start, but if you are a carnivore, you should save your appetite for the delicious slices of meat brought to your table by wandering waiters. The selections were quite varied, despite our arrival near closing time. The staff were friendly and explained the workings of the restaurant to we neophytes. There are large... More

It was a nice experience with Live Brazillian music and Samba dance performance while we were having dinner. It was a busy place so advance reservation is highly recommended and you are allowed 2 hours dining time in the restaurant. The steak was delicious and they kept coming until you tell them to slow down. There is also an appetizer/salad... More

This place had been recommended to me by friends for some time. I tried to go during winterlicious by sold out quickly. Service: was good to very good, servers where attentive, there was about a 10 min lapse during our meal where no meat was making its way to the dining area. Other than that the servers where knowledgeable and... More

We went to this restaurant for our family Christmas get together in February, and this is one of those restaurants that we will come back to for special occasions. I wonder if the people who posted negative comments on tripadvisor were at a different restaurant....it was that good. We expected the meat to be amazing, but it wasn't just the... More

This place is known for their amazing food choices, especially the assortment of meats. I have been to both locations for many occasions, however the Eglington location seemed to decrease dramatically in all sections of the business (food, service, atmosphere). I was very disappointed, Copa Cabana is one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto. I would highly recommend the downtown... More

The staff for sure didn't seem happy or overly interested in answering questions. Their focus is on getting you through the experience in a quick manner to sell the table again. We had 2 bottles of wine amongst us but were told we'd have to finish at the bar as they needed the table. We didn't have a reservation so... More

It started off fairly good. Servers bought food to our table however they were somewhat abrupt. They provide you with small metal prongs to pick up the meat when the servers slice the meat. It was our first time here so we were hesitant as to what we should do. Our first server told us in cold tones to use... More

This was my second visit to Copa Cabana since moving to Toronto a few months ago. Both experiences were almost identical. The service was the only less-than-stellar part of the night (not terrible, just not on par with everything else) The servers were very slow to refill drinks and clear plates, and tough to flag down. We had to keep... More

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
