The food is simply amazing. The combinations take you to completely different tastes than you have ever experienced. No question. Be warned though, this is not an inexpensive proposition. Also, only 1 wine on offer. Know your sake if you are interested in a full Japanese meal experience.

Pretty good meal and thoughtful service, highly recommended! We tried the tasting menu for two, the temperature of the sushi is just about right and fish are fresh and yummy.

A special occasion type of place, this is the best Japanese restaurant in Toronto. The intimate setting, and interaction with the chefs is not to be missed. The food is beautiful, unbelievably delicious, and never disappoints. It's also the best sushi I've had outside of Japan. Treat yourself, and try this place out. Dining out should be more than just... More

Fabulous sushi, attentive and professional service if somewhat cold. Decent sake offering but wine list is limited (read only one available and not by the glass) The only real issue with this place is its surroundings on a sketchy part of the Queensway but I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

I would definately recommend you to sit at the counter for the most unforgettable experience at Sushi Kaji. It is a bit pricy but we are lucky to have Chef Kaji in Toronto

We tried the tasting menu (including sashimi) and sat by the bar to watch the chef preparing the food - worth it just for that. He explained every dish and fish, showed us how to eat and even gave us the recipe of the sorbet. great experience and amazing quality.

Had a great experience sitting at the bar of Sushi Kaji. We ordered the two different versions of the Omasake's. Our dinner was 3 hours but it was worth it. The chefs table/bar is recommended to get the full experience of the chef preparing each dish infront of you. Amazing food.

Delicious, fresh sushi. Sit at the bar and watch the amazing knife-work of the chefs. Daily fresh sushi flown in, interesting preparation and tasty. Good service. Omikase sushi - chef's choice, either $100 or $130 per person ($100 course more than enough food). Considered by many to be one of the best sushi restaurants in Canada.

Sushi Ya Japan is a small restaurant that is easy to miss, but if you find it you are in luck. The menu is incredible, for example the menu has 23 different 'specialty sushi rolls'! A comfortable setting with attentive service. We enjoyed a very pleasant environment, but then the meals arrived. The pleasant environment becomes secondary when you see... More
