We made reservations for 5 people on a Friday evening. Service was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed their appetizers and meals. We had one "picky" eater and she loved it. We had mussels and the best bruschetta any of us had ever had as appetizers. Meals ranged from veal scallopini to spaghetti and meatballs.

We were a group of 5 women on a Mother's Day weekend. What a great find! The food was awesome as was our server, Raul. The courses were well spaced, we never felt rushed. We shared the bruschetta (amazing!) and mussels, also amazing. Our meals included Spaghetti Bolognese, the veal cutlets, the pasta primavera with shrimp add on, the Baccioli... More

Had dinner at this restaurant on a Saturday Night. The service is quite attentive and friendly. The food is classic Italian that was quite frankly some of the best that I have had. Portions are just right and the price not outrageous. Made reservations in advance.

We dined last Friday night starting off with a very nice 2009 Brunello to go with our appetizer salads of caesar and caprese. Main courses of surf and a huge turf (served rare as requested with an exquite mushroom wine sauce) and shrimp rizotto. Both were excellent-served hot and very flavourable. Service by Rahul and his team was relaxed (as... More

My wife and I dined here before attending a show at the Royal Alex Theatre. With no reservations, all restaurants along the south side of King Street were filled to capacity, leaving Forget About It as the last and furthest the restaurant westward along the King strip. The place was 90% empty with no exaggeration. We immediately hated the name,... More

Came here with a group and I was so disappointed. The salad was wilted, the pasta was sticking together, the chicken was a mystery until someone bit into it. The only thing that was remotely edible was the vegetable dish. The shrimp were good, except for the excess butter. The cost was $45, which was atrocious! This is the worst... More

An Italian-themed restaurant in the theatre district, Forget About It offers affordable and delicious suppers. I had the $25 prix fixed three-course dinner, including the house salad, spaghettini primavera (though they let me substitute penne for spaghettini) and tiramisu, all of which were delicious. The service was very good as well. I won't forget about this gem!

Hidden gem in Toronto, King Street, virtually opposite the Prince of Wales Theatre. This is a fabulous restaurant opening hours 4.30pm to 10pm - ideal for pre theatre dinner or early dinner. The set menu is out of this World and the food is on par with many high quality end restaruants in Toronto, such as The Keg and Wahlburgers.... More

Made reservations at this restaurant for a business dinner. The wait staff was excellent and the food was superb. All of our party cleaned their plates clean. I had the chicken parmesan which is my standard for all Italian restaurants and they did not disappoint. A well run and delicious restaurant.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
