We went there for my birthday because Congee Wongs was my choice. It is difficult to get good Asian food in Pickering where we live. We ordered the ginger and green onion lobster as a special treat along with some of our other favourites, Guangdong chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, spice and pepper squid, and fried bean curd and... We ordered a beef soup and the chicken with duck congee. I balked at the price increases at first but was ok with it until .... Both dishes arrived only warm. The congee had less substance than usual, unless you count the hair. The beef soup was also sparse and had more water than usual. This restaurant was one of... More

I have been coming to this place regularly in the 12+ years. One of a few BEST congee places in GTA I would go to. Big portion at reasonable prices. No line up before 6:30pm

Big portions - make sure you are hungry before stepping in here...and the food is amazing...authentic, and consistently perfect. They've mastered the art of perfection. I've been coming here for over ten years now and never once did I feel the quality has dipped. Love it!!!

The food portion is big, pricing is ok, good service, it has been around for a long time and food quality is very consistent and nothing fancy. Will probably go again if we can't think of where to go.

I went to this restaurant for the second time on Sunday. The service is prompt and the welcome is warm and personable. The foold is fresh and you get a HUGE portion for around $12 average. The restaurant is always nearly full of chinese people which is a good indicator when dining at a chinese restaurant - my view. There... More

This restaurant knows what it is doing! Wonderful Chinese food, cooked to perfection. They listen to the customer and prepare the dishes exactly as asked. They have an excellent lunch menu. Prices are very competitive. Decor is basic. You are getting a great meal and not paying for a fancy tablecloth.

I never get tired of this place. Their servings are big and prices are reasonable. Always order their salt and pepper squid and porkchop. Fried rice is good, too.

Just went to Congee Wong near Leslie and finch for a quick dinner. Ordered the Duck Vermicelli Noodle Soup and the Fried Chilli Turnip Patties. Both tasty and plentiful. For the prices of food these days, can't beat $22.00 in total for a quick dinner and still had leftovers. Service is always fast and friendly.

It is a place to go if you don't want to cook and you are in a rush. It is not a good place for a formal meal but it is ideal for causal dining. The dish will be ready in 5-7 minutes after you place your order. The speed is amazing. The taste is normal Cantonese style, not too... More
