This restaurant was great. The minute you walk in, the decor is warm earth tones and cozy, which combined with the friendly welcoming greetings from the staff, started our first evening in Toronto, on a very positive note. Both of our mains were not from...More

I found this place on TripAdvisor and decided to give it a try since we are planning our first visit to Portugal in 2018. The staff was mostly Portuguese (or perhaps Brazilian) and seemed to converse amongst themselves in Portuguese. It is on a quiet...More

Food, service, and atmosphere was at the highest level. My husband said the sardine appetizer was incredible. The wine list is interesting and the main courses were to rave about.

The food was delicious. We had grilled sardines, the seafood cataplana, grilled octopus and scallop linguine. If...More

We recently had dinner at Adega. I reserved on Opentable and we were seated immediately. The menu has a variety of Mediterranean inspired dishes. Everything we had was excellent. The gazpacho was fresh and flavorful. My seafood stew (house specialty) was outstanding.....brimming with fresh seafood....More

Visited Adega with business colleagues on the basis of other TripAdvisor reviews, and while it was perfectly 'fine' I did find it pretty unremarkable and was somewhat surprised by so many glowing reviews. The food itself was nice enough- plenty of seafood options. I had...More

We went for a weekday lunch with friends. We had two appetizers -- grilled squid and grilled sardines. Both were generous portions and fantastic tasting. For the main, we had the grilled squid, the seafood risotto, and the Cataplana Fish Stew. Again, quite generous portions...More

At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination

flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities,
with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to

Some establishments do fly in their seafood daily and since they cannot get shipments in on Sunday, then the seafood may not be the freshest. I would say that preparation also counts. I never have worried about ordering... More
