When I first saw this greasy spoon with all day breakfast, I was hesitant as it looked a little run down and, well...greasy. But it was recommended by staff at the hotel where I was staying, so I went in. Turned out to be very good food, cooked exactly as I wanted (2 eggs over-medium and really, really, really well... Looks like this place has been here for a long time. We wanted a simple breakfast and it is open at 7:00 a.m. Good hot coffee, eggs, sausage toast and also ordered eggs benedict. Surprisingly very good. Will be back to try their souvlaki chicken and burger another time.

Stumbled upon the place when in search of a late breakfast, and was glad we did. Not much to look at, and you place your order at a take-out looking counter then go sit down, but the food was very good, and the prices were not outlandish. Their all-day breakfast had a good peameal bacon eggs benedict, and when the... More

Had breakfast at this "greasy spoon" restaurant that was definitely not "greasy". Friendly, quick service and the breakfast was really good and not expensive. Would go back!

A seemingly scroungy looking place, okay it is scroungy, hides a very decent place for an awesome breakfast. Which is served all day. Photo says it all!

We were not impressed with the $20 pp breakfast of the hotel and saw the board that you can have eggs, bacon or ham breakfast potatoes and toast for $6. The fiirst day there was no butter on the toast and no jam with it, the next day we were greeted like old friends and the quality and quantity of... More

Went here for a quick Sunday morning breakfast. If you can get past the dated decor, you're in for a treat! Both of us had the regular breakfast, and it was served fast, hot and fresh! The potatoes were flavoured nicely and did not taste of old grease like they sometimes do at diners. I also had a side of... More

I ate here after my stay at the hotel next door. Not the healthiest choice, but after a night out it is delicious. Great breakfast. I could care less what the place looks like. The food is good.

Beer and breakfast. 1/4 of price as our hotel. Good, fast & friendly. Busy with eat in and take out. Obviously a popular spot with locals.

I stopped in at Zupa's to try a Peameal Bacon Sandwich which is unique to Toronto. Zupa's was across from the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel so it was convenient to grab a quick lunch there. Employees were friendly and offered quick service. The sandwich was tasty--I'm always willing to try foods I don't have back home.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
