Wylie's is a local pub that hosts a steady stream of locals that take up the bar area, especially during televised sporting events. The food menu is varied offering daily specials at discounted rates. Wylie's specializes in Indian food, which depending on the night, can be average to very good. Ask for salad dressings on the side otherwise your spinach... More

Wylie's is a great local bar with reasonably priced wine, beer and spirits. Bar and wait staff are friendly and outgoing and a pleasure to talk to. Food is from a wide range of cultures from hamburgers to Thai to Indian to Med. Very reasonably priced for the quality.

Surprisingly quiet on Saturday nights... Table in window is the best. Even if alone, you might not feel alone... and good light, as well as plug for computer. Wait staff very pleasant. The Asian dishes are their expertise. You can even have a curried pad thai. The nachos are also pretty good. There seem to be a crowd of regulars,... More

Found this place a little dingy, with distracted serving staff serving badly cooked (warmed up) food. Dont really know what more to say! Beware the cheap prices

Walking down Young St. we were looking for somewhere decent to stop for lunch, something a little better than fast food. Very happy we found this place, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. We had a Caesar, very well made and refreshing with lots of custom options for it, and a cosmopolitan, made right and also very... More

When I'm in strange territory I try to ask a local about a good place to eat. My wife and I had occasion to visit the Mephisto shoe store across the street so I asked the clerk about Wylie's and was given positive comments. We split a black & blue cheese burger with fries and the first bite was pure... More

This neighbourhood pub serves tasty pub fare. There are numerous Indian inspired main dishes including a butter chicken dish that is tasty and filling. The deep fried calamari appetizer is light and the mustard sauce is tasty. The salads are large and fresh. This pub has numerous diverse beer on tap and daily specials. It is a fun local spot... I was brought here late night after drinks by a highly respected chef. We tried several dishes, and not one disappointed us

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
