Located on a very busy part of the Danforth with many restaurants near by so getting a convenient parking spot can be be very problematic. Fortunately there is very convenient Municipal Parking close by. Wanted to concentrate on the CJ's Deli menu this time rather than the usual Pub menu. Came away somewhat disappointed. Will stick with the Pub menu... More

On a nice day, eat on the patio - it is less noisy. If you eat at one of the front booths or tables, the noise from the video game is way too loud. Atmosphere is dark - so once again, sit outside. I ordered the catch of the day - fish with scallop and sauce with mashed potatoes and... More

The chef/owner use to own the the court Jester on Younge, famous for friendly service and their "to die for" French onion soup. Specials menu runs all week with numerous tasty delights, wings, ribs etc. Laden with boutique Canadian beers and a relaxed atmosphere, I can truly recommend this place for a good quality well priced eat!

Considering how much I paid for dinner I was expecting a lot more. Service was slow, and the waiter didn't write anything down, so of course, one drink and one side was missed. The French onion soup was good, the pulled pork on a Kaiser was a little on the bland side. This is probably my last visit.

Some friends and I decided to try this place. I decided to order the Saturday special: ribs and wings. There are several flavors to choose from for the wings; I went with lemon-pepper. The ribs were horrible! Disgusting! It was so chewy and definitely had been microwaved many times over. The fries also looked like it had been reheated and... More

Not exactly as your bubbie makes (not in a bad way) but very very tasty. Challah was fresh and no complaints about the portion size.

Decent pub, with a great veggie burger and good Ontario craft beer on tap. Waitress was friendly and efficient. Prices were appropriate. Layout is a little strange, with the deli counter right at the front and the pup area more toward the back. But the deli items were a nice touch to see on the menu. Good place to catch... More

I was glad that they had some variety on the menu. The server was very helpful and accommodating. There isn't a huge variety, but the food is both tasty and filling.

The Court Jester has been my "go to" pub since the late 1990s and I remain a fan to this day! You are not only guaranteed a selection of homemade food on its menu, but there are also specials which change daily. No matter what you try, in my experience, everything has been consistently excellent - and if you have... More

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
