I had dinner at Serra with a friend, when we were just looking for some good food and the opportunity to talk. I had the special, which was called the "Mixed Seafood Grill." It consisted of a rather uninspired slab of fish (variety indecipherable) and...More

My hubby and I went here before going to a concert, and although we didn't have a reservation, we had no problem getting a seat. Surprisingly, the place filled up really fast, but that didn't hamper the service, or the food. We both really enjoyed...More

I have been to Serra several times (prior to attending concerts) and have, always enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Last night was, totally, different. The staff appeared very stressed and uninterested in the patrons (us, anyway). Problems - no beer, no pizza (both on the...More

Serra used to be our stand-by - we'd go for an inventive salad, correct and tasty pasta dishes, interesting entrées nicely presented, a short but tempting list of desserts. The resto changed hands a year or two ago and since then we've been back 3...More

Had dinner last night at Serra - we tend to eat here prior to Tafelmusik performances - reasonably priced wines and dishes which are universally good - all the apps and mains are well rendered Italian dishes and the service is good and fast.

Strolled down Bloor looking for an interesting restaurant that caught our fancy. This did. Limited menu but food fresh and served well. Drinks were only so so, but house wine was a bit above. The night began with just our party and as we left...More

Little to no presentation...we did get a plate. No garnish, sauce tasted jarred and featured lobster almost non existent...that present was tough and membranous. As their Interact was down, server requested we get $$ to pay from sports bar next door after additional 15 minute...More

I was looking for a nice lunch in the ROM museum area, that wasn't Asian, and I stumbled on this resto. The lunch specials didn't appeal to me, so I ordered a spaghetti with Bolognese sauce ($13.50). It was quite good, and the pasta was...More

We went for dinner and had the prix fix menu. The free appetizer was some sort of dip with a few crackers. Not really enough even for one person. The caesar salad as part of the prix fix dinner was really uninspired. It consisted of...More
