We 4 had Winterlicious Lunch there. Service initially was good, but came inattentive. The appetizers were acceptable, the salmon was "fishy" and I'm told that it was old salmon. The chicken wrap was from prepackaged stuff, heavy on the crust, light on the chicken. The smoked jalapeño mayo was good. Of the 4 fries, only 1 was hot, the rest... More

Family group and friends, aged 10 to 70, needing some refreshment and food after a funeral got fabulous service from Henry. Prompt and efficient and the food was pretty good too. Enjoyed the pool table. Kudos to Henry, he made it all come together.

We went with our family and had a table for seven last Saturday. We knew something was wrong when we sat down and the waiter did not come to our table for at least 15 minutes. He even seemed confused when I even asked him about the house beer. When he finally took our drink order we did not get... More

Been a few times now with parents. There is a big TV behind the bar which isn't everyone's thing but if your'e sitting at the bar having drinks it's a nice touch. Not that many tables but that means service is always good and food is always fresh and prompt. The curry and the mussels are phenomenal!

The food was just ordinary, but the service was excellent. Our waitress Alexandra was efficient and friendly.

It has to be the best Margarita Pizza that I have had a long time. The server Chantel was excellent and listened to my needs for the pizza. I will without doubt refer anyone that I know to this restaurant.

One of our favourite places in North Toronto. No better place for an outdoor summer dinner with family or friends than on their huge outdoor patio. Warm, friendly staff make you feel like one of the family. Yummy food selections with specials daily. Pasta del mare and any of their curries are my personal favourites. And upstairs is a fun,... Nothing beats a warm summer evening on a flower filled patio with good friends and delicious food with very attentive service. The three week long Summerlicious program throughout the city has diners enjoying great restaurants at special prefixed prices. You want to hurry as the program ends this weekend.

Summerlicious runs in Toronto for two weeks in July every year. Great way to try different establishments with prix fixe menu. Decided to try the lunch menu at $18.00 per person for 3 courses. Menu changes from year to year. Went with the house specialty of the chicken wrap and the other entree was steelhead trout. Appetizer (good size fresh... More

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
