Had the pleasure to have dinner last Saturday night in this restaurant. We made a reservation what is really necessary since it is a small but popular restaurant. We arrived at exactly the right time. Downstairs was full and we went upstairs where our table was waiting. The appetizers where great. Salad with parmagiano cheese, figs, pear , salad and... More

Wouldn't recommend this restaurant. They are by Lawrence subway station. They gave me frozen butter with my bread 🍞 and wouldn't warm it up because they told me it was a Canadian health code violation. Is this true? Also got the impression they were a bit racist. If you look Canadian, shouldn't be a problem. I knew something might of... More

Very good food. Large portions. Friendly service. Not a large venue, so cozy. All above would deserve a higher rating. Even thought it looked a little tired, I wouldn't have downgraded it for that. However it also looked messy and in need of a deep cleaning which I simply couldn't ignore and negatively impacted my experience. With some elbow grease... More

Amazing food, decent portions, I will be back with the wife. 20 plus years in Toronto and I've never heard of this place before. Try the sea bass!

Love going here for down-home comfort food. Lots of variety which should appeal to many. I think the sea bass(branzino) is mediocre but the salmon and pasta dishes are terrific. Service is great. Make a reservation if you plan on going there over the weekend.

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
