Started with a great grilled calamari, simple yet perfect! Followed by a chicken liver appetizer that was almost equally amazing! The chicken souvlaki was simple but seasoned and cooked to perfection . Let's not forget the dips! Absolutely delicious. The wine list on the other hand a little disappointing to say the least. They can use a few more servers... More

Was treated to a birthday dinner. The family was looking for the best greek place on the Danforth. Selected Pantheon based on Trip Advisor. The food was fantastic. It was very busy - so very loud. The service was friendly but slow - we put it to a busy Saturday night and enjoyed the food.

This busy Greek place is worth the visit. I was hesitant to book a large party as we had never eaten here before and wondered about some of the negative comments. Im happy to report everyone at the table said the food was excellent and very good. The dips with veg are complimentary and delicious. Flaming cheese, a loud "OPA!"... More

Went for dinner on Saturday evening and was pleasantly surprised on how busy it was. The service was excellent even when it was so extremely busy. Decided to try and duplicate the octopus meal I had in Mykonos and this was it. Loved the grilled Calamari too. Portions are large and very satisfying. Will definitely be back again.

The Pantheon is a family owned, family run restaurant on the Danforth in Greek Town. John, the proprietor, is welcoming and gracious. The food is excellent and generous. I highly recommend the grilled calamari, which is probably the tastiest anywhere in the city.

We went to the auto show on a Saturday and decided to eat somewhere on the Danforth. We stopped in at the Pantheon before we left for home. We got there at 4:30 and they already had a lineup, including those who had reservations. The food was excellent and the plates had generous portions. I had the lamb and it... More

It was Friday night, and the place was packed with locals and visitors. Yet the service was excellent. The food was pretty good too. The calamari appetizer we all shared was crispy. The bread that came with it not so good; Greek garlic bread is better. My calamari dinner was good and my husband's roast lamb tender and without extra... More

The restaurant was full and loud but had a fantastic vibe ! Our food was all seafood - calamari, then sea bass and octopus. All was tender and fresh, very tasty ! The service was excellent. Peter was very professional and friendly. Water was always refilled right away without having to ask. We were very pleased with our evening, especially... More

Having been to Greece a few times I think this is one of the most authentic Greek restaurants on the Danforth. The service has always been wonderful even when they are busy which is when you will often find service to be lacking. The food is delicious and fresh.

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
