I'm so glad we chose Ouzeri Restaurant. The service was phenomenal and the food was one of the best meals I've had in a while. I would most definitely go back again. Especially for the Lamb Rosemary pie and their grilled octopus. The restaurant itself is beautiful with its multintiered levels and high ceilings. Overall a great evening and wonderful... More

very friendly and knowledgable staff, great food and drinks We shared meze as appetizers: humus, tsatsiki, melanzane. My husband enjoyed the octopus and we shared other delicious and nicely presented dishes. Overall an excellent dinner!

I can remember Ouzeri soon after it opened...with a tapas-based menu and a decor that seemed more open and clean and bright than the other Danforth souvlaki joints. More lately, there's been some regression to the mean: the menu looks closer to the average, and the decor is in need of sprucing up. But it's still a special place. We... More

Excellent food! My wife and I have had chicken souvlaki, it was tasty and the portions were generous. Even if we were in October, the restaurant was still proposing the 'summerlicious' dinner for 28 dollars: I had the avgolemono soup (delicious), chicken souvlaki and baklava in dessert (the best baklava I have had in a long time)! I definitely recommend... More

Came here with friends and family on Saturday night. We were late for our reservation but they were very nice to hold our table of 10. The city blocked off all street parking due to allow shuttle busses to freely go down Danforth. The city thought it was a good idea to shut down subway service during the long weekend.... More

Oh how the mighty have fallen….this used to be a rock star on the Danforth. Now it’s very worn and tired. The food is tired versions of Greek…no real pop….just like the service. One thing I do have to admit the portions are huge! So perhaps value for your dollar would go a long way since you can split an... More

Enjoyed a great lunch there with good food and service. It was busy. Overall food is good, wine is average and service was good.

I attended with a couple of friends recently - this was not our first visit but we had not been there in a couple of years. This is our go-to Greek restaurant on the Danforth when we have a get-together as we enjoy the food, the atmosphere and seating options (3 levels and a nice patio). The menu does not... More

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
