The atmosphere was warm and cosy on a cold winters day. The service was ok not great but the French Onion soup and crepes were amazing! Value for money was very good. Good wine selction.

I went to this restaurant expecting delicious french food. What i got was anything but delicious. The beef bourginion was re-fried meat on cold rice. The pouding chomeur was a black cake with some strange looking sauce. The salad was soggy with dressing no vegetables...More

This place is a go to favourite in Toronto. I have never been disappointed. This time I was accompanied by my 10 year old granddaughter. Our excellent server tailored a ham & cheese crepe for her which she thoroughly enjoyed— then on with dessert —...More

Although long familiar with this French restaurant, a staple in the downtown restaurant scene since the early 70s, this was my first occasion dining there. The restaurant in it's current location occupies an historic building with an exposed beam and brick interior. The service from...More

Our first evening in Toronto and we stopped by this charming restaurant. The spinach potato soup caught my eye immediately, since it’s such a cold day. We had the scallops (not a be deal), and a Riesling from Niagara-On-The-Lake. The wine was wonderful, it’s not...More

We were looking for a good restaurant near the St Lawrence Centre and, since we were not familiar with any in the area, decided to try Le Papillon, where we had experienced good food many years ago. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing - the...More

Nice atmosphere, nice staff but unfortunately terrible food. I had the steak and it was very tasteless the toppings they added to it didn't help. I definitely would not return or recommend it.

Maybe I got lucky but my recent foodie experience at Le Papilon was one of the best I’ve ever had. After visiting the St. Lawrence market, I wanted to treat my wife to a Sunday brunch. I quickly cruised through some reviews and Le Papillon...More

Le Papillon on Front is located in the heart of Old Town Toronto. Inside of a beautiful Old Town Toronto building with exposed brick walls and high lofty ceilings sits the beautiful venue for Le Papillon on Front. It's exposed brick is complemented well by the aged hardwood floor and perfectly soft lighting. The venue suggests a lovely mix of romance, comfort, and of course, the classic French bistro atmosphere that has followed Le Papillon to all of its locations. In the warmer months Le Papillon on Front even creeps its way onto Front street, giving a beautiful view of the Flatiron building as well as the CN tower in the distance. With a closed in patio adorned with wonderfully arranged planters you experience a private feel, even while sitting on the heart of Front Street.
