I placed an order for the catering trays for a university function. The service was excellent, I received a phone call shortly thereafter to discuss the details of the order. On the following day (day of the event), I received a phone call earlier in the day confirming that the order would be ready and that they would call before... More

Thank you very much Jefferey. Your feedback was very encouraging also since the " Catering by Tray" is the most recent launch by our restaurant. You ordered some of the very popular dishes in North Indian cuisine and many patrons view that as a yardstick. Heartening we impressed you with our preparation(s) Please do visit us and enjoy our hospitality... More

I'm here at least monthly. Food is delicious. Best veggie pakoras I've had and I've traveled extensively. Try it!

The weekday lunch buffet is perfect if you're craving some good homemade Indian cuisine. I absolutely loved it. It's not too expensive and it has the normal Indian favourites. Unfortunately if you work a normal Monday to Friday, 9 to 5 job you won't be able to catch the lunch buffet, but if you can get there on your lunch... More

I celebrated my daughter's first birthday at this restaurant and can't THANK enough to Rajiv and team for the memorable experience and wonderful hospitality. While you may find a lot of restaurants , the USP for me was the personal attention and customisation with a BIG Smile. Hope to have lot more celebrations and party at Bombay restaurant - I... More

They need to focus on their customers at the restaurant more than on their deliveries. I had to wait 45 mins for my food to arrive until I complained. Make sure you have enough parking and patience. Otherwise, the food was good.

Thank you for your feedback. By no means that wait time was acceptable and the team member serving you ought to have informed you of the delay in the service. Assuring you that this has been communicated and will be duly followed by our team. Apologize for the frustration you endured. Downtown does have parking hiccups but there are many... More

I was in town for business and was really looking for some good Indian food. Particularly veggie samosas with onion chutney. The restaurant was really cold. If I'm complaining that a place is cold, then you can be sure it was actually freezing. I thought that maybe it was because I was sitting in the corner near the front window,... More

Thank you for your feedback. Appreciate the time you took and the details you mentioned which truly helped us to get an insight from your experience. We have had a bitter winter and will be ( during summers) working on the temperature near the window specially . We serve a duo of sauces with our Samosas (Tamarind and mint). Hope... More

Are definitely deceiving. This place doesn't look like anywhere you'd want to dine and seems like a typical curry house. However, my friend was craving some Indian food so without doing any research we stumbled upon this place. So glad we did! Their mattar paneer is fantastic. We ended up coming back just for that!

Probably the best Indian food in Toronto! It was our first night in town so we wanted somewhere local to the Grand Hotel (and fancied Indian food). This place did not disappoint. From the minute we arrived the staff were tentative and could not do enough for us. Good selection of local beers and the obligatory 'Tiger' beer served in... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
