We had lunch here on a beautiful, sunny Friday afternoon. Lots of shady spots on the patio as it was very hot. Very French feel both inside and out - just wish there had been some French music playing. Service was great - we weren't...More

Went for diner on a saturday night. Was not too busy. We sat outside. Food was excellent and the portions large. A rare thing nowadays!!! But the service was slow, not personal; unfortunately impacted a lot on the taste of my food!

I visited Biff's with my mother and sister before a TIFF film, and the service we received was so sporadic (we didn't seem to have our own server assigned to us). We felt like we were quickly assessed as low-priority guests and then treated as...More

The three course meal was not worth the money. Ceaser salad had lardons throughout. Lardons are hunks of fat , these were soaked in maple syrup. The Shepard pie had very little meat covered by puff pastry that did not puff so was very tacky....More

We had the three course prix fixe dinner and sat in the outdoor sidewalk sections n which was very nice. All three courses were delicious: mushroom soup, beef bourguinon and sorbet. However, don't eat there if you have somewhere to be afterwards. It took over...More

Spouse and I were staying nearby and happened upon this restaurant. Knowing Michael Bonnacini is a famous chef we thought we would give it a try. First impressions were great. The hostess was pleasant and seated us immediately. She was very attentive and informative. First...More

At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination
for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip
and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with
a strong student influence from the Ryerson University
Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in
flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities,
with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to

Reminiscent of a 1930's Parisian Bistro, Biff's Bistro is a smart, upscale masterpiece by Toronto uber-restaurateurs Peter Oliver and Michael Bonacini. The stylish lounge, featuring a stunning zinc-topped bar, represents pure vintage design, while handsome leather banquettes, warm wood paneling and grand mirrors create a rich, lively dining space. In this setting, Chef Amanda Ray presents an extensive menu of inspiring French bistro cuisine, with an impressive corresponding wine list. Located in the heart of downtown, just steps away from many downtown theatres, hotels and the Air Canada Centre.
