I do enjoy the many breakfast spots in the beaches and was super pleased to find The Beacher Cafe... Not just a breakfast spot, this place offers both lunch and dinner. I appreciated the early 7:30 opening time and the friendly greeting upon my arrival. I chose the avocado inspired poached eggs with home fries and they were fantastic!

Since I had to be in Toronto on my own, eating out solo, isn't always the easiest But I felt very comfortable eating great food in a welcoming atmosphere Staff even brought in the sandwich board from outside so I could see the breakfast specials!! This cafe is located perfectly on Queen St Near eclectic artsy galleries, bakeries, and great shopping... More

Thanks to the DVP closure I was taking a different route east and we ended up finding this really nice and quiet spot for dinner. The staff where nice and the food was good. The place itself was the draw with plenty of parking on the street.

Nice quiet place by the beaches, it gets rather busy during weekends. The place has no designated parking it's P parking in the street. The price is affordable with unlimited coffee, they can modify menus as you prefer. The Staff are friendly and lovely.

Looked interesting, waitress grumpy, specialty coffee (ie standard anywhere else) was weak, tasteless, barely warm. High prices, place is quaint, but somehow in the off, less fresh.

After an early sunday stroll along the beach and on the return some window shopping we decided to try this place.Nice atmoshere but busy..A bit pricey with a not too interesting menu so we both opted for burgers which were excellent. We wasn't in a rush so a seat by the window, pot of tea watching the world go by... More

We love this place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Many lovely dishes. My favourite are the eggs Benedict or florentine or eggs Benedict with smoked salmon

The place looked interesting, but we were disappointed. Initial service was quick, but then the wait began. It was busy and so we thought the was the reason for delay of the food. We were worried about exceeding the parking limit we had for the car. When we got the food, we found it only warm...it obviously had been sitting... More

We were a part of 5 and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Pricey but you get a lot of very flavourful food. Wonderful service by Konrad our waiter. Hope to visit this place again when in town.

This is a warm and cosy restaurant in a charming part of Toronto. Their squash soup was particularly yummy as was their Eggs Benedict from their all day breakfast. My husband also liked Fettucine with Chicken and Broccoli. The service was fast and friendly too. Best of all, the prices were extremely reasonable. A very nice restaurant.

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
