They are trying to be fine dining when they are nothing more than a pub. My first and likely last visit to this "joint". When you walk in, it looks like a regular old pub. Prices are sky high with service, presentation and food being...More

So we arrived at this neighbourhood staple (and I realize the history behind this establishment, I also realize my review probably won't affect anyone visiting this restaurant since they have their faithful, but I still feel like I need to share my story), and upon...More

Sat down at 830 to eat before a 945 show at the Danforth Music Hall. Had to wait until 930 (!) for the food to arrive, and the ravioli was still frozen on the inside. No offer to comp us anything, meagre apology. And it's...More

Used to frequent this place 20 yrs ago and apart from the willow tree in the back having grown and the floors a little more worn it felt exactly the same. Attentive and charming staff, solid food and fine beverages. Very few places I can...More

I have been going to Allen's for years now, the great selection of beers, scotch and of course the burger keep bring me back. Aside from the burger and fries, the capon wings, black bean soup, seafood chowder, lamb, and steak are pretty darn good.

We ate at Allen's during their Steak Festival. I had the Morrison from Summerside PEI. Highly recommended! It's expensive but it was a bday celebration. We all ordered a side. Food and service were excellent. Wine was OK. I look forward to checking out the...More
