It was one of those cold days in February, a friend and I were walking on Yonge street from the library and we needed some cheap food and fast. This place came first as we walked so we popped in.Place was very very busy. the line was huge, tables were full but everything seemed to move so fast including the... More

Something I miss huge about working around Yonge/Bloor. The chicken or pork vermicelli is so delicious.

It's been a while I had been at that location as I love vietnamese food and this place was always an assured value for quality, quantity and price. I just found that this time the food was not as good as it used to be, smaller portion and my spring rolls, one of them was almost empty (no filling just... More

Several food plate choices displayed by picture and description. Dine in or carry-out. Most reasonable prices. Great choices for a vegetarian.

I have been patronising this Vietnamese restaurant a long time now. Usually on the Yonge St/Bloor St. location, its always busy. But yesterday in its Queen St. location, it was not. The pho is great but my favourite dish is No. 56 -- you get super thin slices of white breast chicken grilled to semi-perfection and adorned with lime leaf... More

My favorite Vietnamese/noodle restaurant in Toronto! Lovely family-run fast food place! You order from the booth at the front with their menu on the wall behind you with pictures to see what the dishes look like. You immediately pay once you order, and they give you a plastic number. You can sit down anywhere in the restaurant, and a minute... More

A cheap and quick (even with a line out the door at lunch time) choice for lunch. Got the vermicelli noodle bowl with grilled chicken and 2 extra fried spring rolls. LOVE their grilled chicken here, either on a banh mi or in a vermicelli bowl, it's always tasty.

Basic Vietnamese restaurant for a satisfying and fast meal. Food was decent - we had an array of Pho, fried fish, chicken, tofu and vegetables with different sauces. The summer rolls were a bit spongy - not as good as they should be. But a nice experience on a busy Toronto street with an interesting crowd. Super busy place, and... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
