We went here near the end of our trip to Toronto. We wanted a seafood place for our anniversary dinner. We chose the Fishermans Wharf due in most part to it's close proximity to our hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with the service & food. I got the stuffed sole & my husband got the shrimp scampi. We both loved... More

Visited this restaurant for dinner while visiting Toronto. It is VERY expensive for what you get. eg. $14.00 for 4 oysters Rockafella. Went during happy hour so we did get 1/2 priced appetizers with the purchase of a drink.

I found this please before I arrived in Toronto and made up my mind immediately that I shall visit it upon arrival. I was not disappointed! We went for lunch and it was quite quiet, but don't let that put you off. We shared some garlic bread with cheese to start and then for mains I had lobster salad with... More

We didn't feel like a full dinner, but were hungry and noticed a sign that said "1/2 price appetizer's with a drink purchase". We didn't see that was from 4:00 to 6:00 pm and it was now 7:30....oh well. I ordered Oyster's Rockefeller and Clam Chowder. I was disappointed with the Rockefeller. The oyster's were big, but it tasted like... More

I really wanted to like this restaurant. I came specifically because the menu was mostly seafood which I am very fond of. The starter boston chowder was very tasty, but the appearance had a strange texture that was a little off putting. Next I had the lobster burger with fries which the burger was moist and had a pleasant taste... More

Had such a great experience here for dinner , our server was great. We started off with a Casear Salad and the dressing wasn't the usual garlic and creamy dressing . Had the 8oz NY Sirloin that was cooked medium rare to how I like it ! The potatoes were not my favourite because it tasted sour for some reason... More

Horrible services. I was feeling hungry after the appetizer. It was almost an hour waiting in between. Best of 3 course menu was the dessert, which was barely okay. Avoid at all costs.

Very quiet, exceptional old world service and tasty food. We had a bottle of wine, (French $ 39 a bottl),appetizers and mains. Lobster bisque was good as was the calamari. Grilled salmon was very good, served on a bed of mild spiced rice and fresh grilled vegs. The second main was jambalaya was good, mildly spiced with little shrimp, but... More

We paid a visit to Fishermans wharf on a Saturday night. Outside this restaurant looks fab, it's charming and welcoming but that all ends sadly as soon as you step foot inside. The long entrance is dark and uninviting. On arrival there were two occupied tables and we were sat awkwardly right between them despite all the other empty tables.... More

We had a hard time getting past the really dirty carpetting. Then when the staff person setting tables dropped a knife, then picked it up off the carpet and put it on the table, we almost left. But we stuck it out. Both of us had seafood which was perfectly okay....not exceptionally well seasoned, not especially interesting, but okay. One... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
