I count myself very lucky to be living within a 2 mins walk to Dufflets. Whenever I need a birthday cake, or something for a special occasion I go there. Their chocolate mousse cakes are to die for as are their lemon/ strawberry mousse cakes. They're always happy to write something on the cake for you. They have cupcakes, pies,... More

If you need a cake or pastries for a special occasion this is the place to find them. I walk the area frequently and deliberately avoid going close or I will become obese. The quality is so good you become addicted.

Went in here as I love desserts and like the word pastries. Tried a cupcake with raspberry frosting. Cake quality was blah and frosting was awful. The chocolate tart was quite good though, one thing I may return for. Also tried a mixed nut tart and chocolate mousse on another day which were both quite good but not delicious enough... More

We walked blocks from Downtown to get to this place hoping to find pastries. The outside isn't very attractive and the inside is quite small. We did share a cup of coffee and a croissant and scone, but was disappointed to find it's mainly a dessert place. The croissant wasn't as buttery nor as good as the croissant we get... More

The history of Toronto pâtisseries can be divided into the pre-Dufflet and post-Dufflet eras. Dufflet Rosenberg raised the bar a lot, and while the French pâtisseries were already here, they were seen by Torontonians as FRENCH...something different, something special. Like you go out for a FRENCH meal and drink FRENCH wine. Dufflet ushered in a sort of high-standard, high-quality Canadian... More

We popped in here for a quick breakfast and the array of cakes and sweet things were amazing. I ended up picking a savoury treat which was delicious. Would definitely go back for a sweet treat!

I went to the queen west Branch today March 28th at 5 pm and ordered a tart and then a latte. The server had just taken the mug from the previous customer and put it on the table. He took that mug, went inside and got me my latte, I was so in doubt of whether this is really what... More

Went there recently for cake and it was a good choice, as the vegan chocolate cake was delicious. They managed to create a moist, flavourful chocolate cake where you didn't miss the diary. The ginger cookies too were delicious. Really helpful staff who were polite and patient, as we took a bit of time making un our minds as to... More

Went here to pick up a treat for friends on NYE and was really disappointed with how rude the staff were. I asked if they had any cheesecake left and the girl seemed annoyed by my very question. I asked what kind of tarts they had left and she just pointed to them and said nothing. I can see, thanks.... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Queen Street and West Queen West
Known as the Art & Design District, West Queen West is one of the most energetic and dynamic of Toronto's neighborhoods. Along with its great modernist museums, clubs, and restaurants, it's home to some of the funkiest specialty shops, ranging from clothing to stationary to collectables, and caters to niche and vintage shoppers of all kinds. That makes it a mecca for creatives, including hobbyists designers, writers, and painters. With ink on their hands and fabric pelts in their bags, visitors to Queen Street traverse the avant-garde blend of historic architecture and ultra-contemporary fare. Home to some of Toronto's chicest hotels and most modish java fixes, busy with street cars, and always suffused with live music drifting onto packed patios at bars and clubs by nightfall, the vibrancy of West Queen West is undeniable.
