I have been coming here with friends and family for many years... Mövenpick and Richtree and now Mövenpick again. It's not the best food, but it's consistently very good; 90% of it is prepared before your eyes from fresh ingredients. One can get just about every type of food here - it's best to come very hungry, or with a... More

Marche is a series of 'counters' offering different food options. You grab a card (like a credit card) on entry and each time you order a dish your card is swiped and you pay on the way out. Lots of options including pizza, roasts, grills, salads, juice bars, etc. Really quick and easy. Nice ambience.

My first time back at Marche for 3 years and was pleasantly surprised to find the same high quality of all its produce. While its open in the evening, I prefer breakfast with the extensive choices of fruits, juices, cereals, breads as well as freshly cooked omelettes or whatever else you might feel like. Great choice of coffees and teas... More

Went to have a breather after the Hockey Hall of Fame. Kinda odd setup. you have to have a ticket to get anything. Wine was OK. Looked like a popular place and everything looked really fresh.

Marche is different to what you might expect in downtown Toronto. It is a food market, so don't expect to be waited on. You choose your food, wait while they serve it and take your tray to the table. We loved it!!! We were staying at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel so were able to walk here and we came... More

In the past, when I had guests from out of town, I would usually take them to the Marche. Everyone had fun and a great meal. Hadn't been for a while. Last week I took my niece and her daughter for a special birthday dinner. Couldn't believe how poor both the food and service was: got sick after the meal... More

Nothing you would wake up in the middle of the night and crave for. But decent food where each and every person within a group of friend / family will find the food that will content them.

They can't seem to get rotisserie chicken warmer than room temperature. Sent it back and for a "fresh one" that still wasn't hot. Paid $50 for lunch for 2 that was mediocre at best. Won't be back.

I enjoyed viewing the various food and drink stations before I finally decided what I wanted. The presentation was good and there were a lot of choices. The food was acceptable but did not taste as good as I expected it to. The alcoholic drinks were inferior. The white wine I had was very bitter and the 2 cocktails my... More

Really cool concept, tons of choice, and really good food! Such a unique spot in downtown Toronto. Not too expensive either.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
