We were at "Skin and Bones" on Good Friday a week ago. It was our first time at this restaurant. We were hesitant at first due to the pictures on their website which don't represent the place very well. Here are general comments : - friendly staff - casual and pleasant atmosphere -excellent food (appetizers and main course) ; I... More

We went for dinner and we had an amazing time. The food is super tasty, cooked beautifully and I loved the fact their menu is small. Good selection of wines too. Overall a really cool place for dinner and one we would visit again.

We were here for brunch Sunday 5th. They do have a limited menu but everything our group of five had was very good. Three had the chicKen and waffles and two had the corned beef Benedict. We also had the bakery plate. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was friendly and attentive. If your in the area we would recommend eating... More

Haven't had "brunch" in a while. Seems like something u don't see or hear of as much these days. Finding Skin and Bones was a bit of a random happening for us but it turned out to be excellent. Kudos to staff for excellent service, friendly advice, and plenty of coffee refills. I had an excellent custom BLT with their... More

The restaurant is on the East side of downtown Toronto. A nice place to do a fine dinning with families or friends, They don't have a big menu but all are good dishes. Don't miss the 4 course meal which is the best as you can taste their special dishes.

Skin + Bones offers up brunch on the weekend between 10:00am and 2:00pm on Saturday and 10:00am and 3:00pm on Sunday. The menu is somewhat limited with just seven items (some sides and pastries are also available) but they will satisfy most tastes. I enjoyed my Mushrooms on Toast dish - two poached eggs atop a piece of bread with... More

My wife and I ate here with a couple of friends. We tried the surprise tasting menu and everything tasted great. There was also an ample amount of food and the courses came at just the right time for an excellent night. The service was quick and attentive. I highly recommend trying this place for a date or a night... More

We had a terrific time here. The food, service and ambiance were fantastic. I strongly recommend the grilled octopus appetizer!

I can’t say enough about my experience here. If you are from out of town, and want a great spot off the beaten path, with exceptional food and staff, and a great interior/ambience, this is a perfect restaurant! If you are a local looking for new spot in your neighbourhood and haven’t been here, I would put this up there... More

We ordered the chefs prefix menu, which featured 4 courses, served family style. Each course surpassed the next. The prefix menu also offers a wine pairing, but for the amount of wine you get, it is a poor economical choice. You'd be better off ordering 2 bottles of wine (assuming a table of 4). Only catch with the prefix menu... More

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
