We visited Baton Rouge for a late dinner and we were incredibly disappointed in all aspects of our visit. The food was very mediocre for the the price, but it was the lack of service that pushed this restaurant into being a major disappointment.

We were extremely impressed with our visit. Our waiter was fantastic and very helpful with everything from wine selection to meal choices. we arrived early as we had an event to attend, and the food was delicious and on time and perfect. I'd return in a heartbeat.

I came here last summer then I came here again a few days ago. My first visit last year was fine. I don't remember anything bad about it. This year's visit however would not be so favorably remembered. I ordered the Jewels of the Sea (seafood) which was probably the most expensive item on its menu at $38. The shrimps... More

Been there many times with always consistent food. The ribs are my favourite with nice choices for sides. Atmosphere is wonderful and friendly service.

We were on our way downtown to do some shopping in the Eaton's Centre. My Son suggested that we grab lunch here. As we entered, I thought this looks expensive. There was a serene, relaxed atmosphere about the place. We were seated at our table and ordered drinks. A few minutes later we ordered our meals. The waiter was very... More

We stopped in for dinner before a show at Massey Hall. We have been there a number of times. It usually our choice when we are in that area (Eaton Centre). The service was good. I just ordered a burger which was good. But my spouse ordered the chicken tenders, what a disappointment. The bits of chicken were so small... More

Went here on the first day I arrived in Toronto. Our server was polite and very friendly. My food was average but edible. The restaurant was quiet but our server was easily distracted doing "other" stuff and not always paying attention to the few customers he had to serve.

Over the years my family has dinned at this restaurant in a variety of locations including this one; this was my worst experience ever and I will not go back! We were seated immediately but the staff seemed disinterested in the guests as if they had something better to do. Our server was aloof and lacked simple manners. He addressed... More

Located in the Eaton Centre, great for shoppers and theatre goers. 2 dinners; one had the chicken finger platter and was nicely plated and chicken was tender. The 2nd dinner was the pasta with seafood in a rose sauce and while it was tasty and not overcooked it was Toronto priced. Service was quick and attentive, facility was clean. I... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
