My friends and I went for dinner at The Friendly Thai about a week ago. We had a hard time deciding between Thai Chef Cuisine, which is about 4 stores north of Friendly Thai and Friendly Thai. The prices are similar, but Friendly Thai seems to have more menu options, including a lot of Malaysian food. The decor is nice... More

I have been here 3 times in the last 2 months and have really enjoyed the food. The restaurant is small and cozy, the portions of the food is really big, I usually take home left overs and eat for atleast 2 other meals. I've never used the restroom here so I can't comment on it, but what I've seen,... More

Ordered take out (pad thai and fried rice) - Pad thai tasted heavily of ketchup or some other sweet tomato-based sauce to the point where I couldn't finish it - fried rice with pineapple was bland and would have benefited from the addition of egg though the cashews were nice. Likely would not order again or go there

We had braised vegetables and green chicken curry. Both were very tasty and we were given large servings. I can recommend eating here

I've been going to this place since it first opened. I have done both sit-in and take out and I am always happy with my food. I have tried other places in Etobicoke and Mississagua, but I always come back here.

Both my daughter and I ordered the pad thai, which is a pretty tough dish to mess up, but it was not good at all...as in, neither of us finished our dish and we didn't take the rest home. Additionally, one trip down to the restroom makes you realize how unclean this place is. My daughter also got the sticky... More

We use to order a few times a month...have to repeat the same information every time, several times. Although they claim to accommodate special orders/allergies...we constantly had to call and send out food back because there were onions, mushrooms & green peppers in the food when we specifically requested these items not touch any of our food.

Please don't get fooled with the reviews. This place is not clean, just walking in will tell you a lot about this place. There is another place in 2 mins walk called Thai chef, it's a lot better.

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
