No surprises here. Standard menu awaits. You can expect very fast service and a nice meal. The decor is spartan but adequate. I had a good meal for a good price delivered to our table quickly with a smile. What more could you ask for?

We were informed upon arrival that birds were on the rotisserie so there would be a wait before we could eat. No problem. We weren't in a rush. After we ordered it became comical how were absolutely could not get the attention of any servers (without leaving our seats). Every one of them looked in a different direction as they... More

Service was good but chicken is more like it was meant for wings! It has shrunk beyond belief. Sorry Swiss Chalet, baby chicken is not for me.

Have order many times for take out and went several time for sit down dinner. The food is always fast, hot and tasty. The server / staff are always very swift and attentive. Good option is you live in the harbor front area or are visiting.

His restaurant offers rotisserie type foods. The meats are deliciously seasoned and tender. They offer great sides and combinations. Portions are good sizes. Our three kids ages eleven and nine enjoyed the food very much!

I used to take the Chalet for granted and then I moved to another country. I miss it all the time and now I even buy their Chalet dipping sauce at the grocery store in Toronto to bring back home. This is a huge chain, as ubiquitous as Timmy's, and it's beloved by Canadians. With good reason too, because food... More

I am once to enjoy a nice meal, and would like to see some sort of reasonable return for my hard earned dollar, but the chicken has gotten so small, that i do not care that you load up the fries to try to make it up.. i want my protein, not starch.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
