Cool venue with super refreshing tacos and delicious cocktails. Good place to eat with friends. Make sure you book a table!

What a great find in Parkdale Village. Small space that can hold 10 at the bar an another 20 some seated. Great variety of tacos and other taqueria favorites (try the wings!)

We loved Grand Electric. Authentic, street tacos in a very cool little place. All the ingredients were fresh and super tasty, from the mushroom, to the cauliflower, to the spicy chicken tacos, it was all great. To top it off, the little pies in a cup had tons of great flavour. We tried both the key lime and the coconut... More

Let's get the only bad point out the way...you will have to queue or wait, period. However, if you ask the staff nicely, they will take your details and text you when a table is available. Upon arrival you'll be treated to a medley of 90s hip hop gems, the only proviso being it is so loud you won't be... More

I've been here two-dozen times but am just now taking a minute to ensure everyone understands it is awesome. If you haven't been, you need to go. Menu changes but something for everyone, including vegetarians. Sure, the music and hipster vibe might turn some off, but they are missing out. Amazing food.

We arrived at our hotel late and needed to find a place to eat after 10 on a week night. Basically, we just went to Grand Electric because it was close, and still open. I was flabbergasted by the quality of the food. The tacos are fantastic. I had to get our tortilla chips to go because they were so... More

I loved my visit to Grand Electric. We went to celebrate a friends graduation from school. The food was awesome (the ceviche was to die for)! The atmosphere is great, just a bit crowded. I found their tables were just a bit too close together and for a restaurant where you share food, the tables were a bit too small.... More

Great place to go with friends. Reasonable cost. Decor is avg at best. But main food items r very good & tasty. Mostly BBQ. Sausage is great. My only complaint is not serving coffee at end of the meal & crappy desert selection. They want u out! Would go back but save time to go to a cafe.

Tacos are a popular dish and there are plenty of restaurants that try to put there spin on it, but not other has succeeded the way Grand Electric has! Their fish tacos are the absolute best. The ambiance is great, although the music volume could be significantly lower.

mexican tapas and unfancy decor, but just the right noisy atmosphere to eat well and enjoy your friends and make new ones!

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
